Testicular tumors are of germ cell origin in 95% of cases. The non-germ cell tumors include Leydig cell tumors, gonadoblastoma, Ser toli-cell tumors, neoplasms of mesenchymal origin, adrenal rest tumors, carcinoid tumors and tumors meta- static to the testis (Table 10.1).

Genetics
A higher incidence of testicular tumors has been reported in twins, brothers, and family members, but there is not as yet a clear-cut genetic predisposition.
